Today, I got the great surprise to receive my order from  La Boit'A Scrap  ! Surprise because I wasn't expecthing to get it so quickly. This olnline store is ran by only two ladies but they do I super job getting baulous material, safe packaging, sending fast...All that while taking care of their store, the website, blog and forum! Here's what I got today... Zutter's famous Bind-It-All Two binders to go with it: a red one and a golden one The Boit'A Scrap website also put together kits all through the year. This one is the Red & Black kit. Apart from the papers, there are also two ribbons (the red one you can see and a black one that is hodden), and also a pack of embelisshements. Acrylic stamps, masking tapes...and a set of flowers that was added as a thanks gift for the order!

Je vous attends sur Sam's Letters And Crafts Depuis quelques temps, j'ai mis le nez dans le CMS Joomla et je dois dire que je pense de plus en plus à transformer ce blog en un site complet. Cela offrirait plus de possibilités de contenu, ainsi que la possibilité d'avoir un site multilingue (il est vrai que j'ai toujours voulu avoir plus de contacts avec des fans de loisirs créatifs et de correspondance français!). Mais ça ne se fera pas du jour au lendemain, j'ai encore pas mal de tests à faire. En tous cas, si ça doit se faire, je vous en avertirais bien avant et je diffuserais l'adresse du site sur toutes les pages du blog. En attendant, continuez de me suivre!

Lately, I've started to put my nose in the Joomla Content Management System and I'm thinking more and more about turning this blog into a full website. I guess there would be much more interesting features, and also the possibilty to have a bilingual site (as I would also love to get in touch with more french-speaking fans of crafts and penpalling!). But it won't happen tomorrow though: I'll have a few tests to run. But be sure that if it happens, I'll display the address of the website several weeks before. In the meantime, stay tuned!

As the deco already had pages on Cindy Crawford and Claudia Schiffer (as well as some unknown models), I decided to dedicate the last page to another one of my faves: Christy Turlington .

Hi all It's time for another stamps order! This time it came pretty fast: less than a wekk, against a little more than a month last time. Then again I had ordered at the end of November, so I guess it got caught in the Christnas shipping frenzy, and that's probably why my stamps took so long to be delivered. One good lesson: never order stamps around Christmas time! First I got a bad suprise: my login and password didn't work anymore. The site was revamped recently, I guess they erased all former accounts at the same time. In the end, it took me much longer to complete my order, because I had to create a new account. Maybe it's the reason why they added a bookmark as an extra. Who knows? Some of the stamps are basic (the Marianne ones) as their aim is to complete the postage on an envelope, but others are so beautiful I thought it could be a nice idea to share them with you. Especially with the persons who won't receive them,lol. This first set is...

Bonjour! Après un mois plutôt chargé, me voilà de retour! Aujourd'hui, je voudrais passer une "petite annonce"! Je recherche plusieurs types de cours en Moselle,  dans le rayon Hagondange-Fameck-Thionville si possible (mais éventuellement plus loin, si les cours ont lieu le week-end).  En vrac, je serais intéressée par des cours de: scrapbooking Home deco couture voire autre loisirs créatifs Là où j'éprouve de la difficulté à en trouver c'est que la plupart des cours sont organisés en journée et surtout en semaine. Or, pour quelqu'un qui travaille...c'est pas évident! Si vous avez de bonnes adresses à partager (ou si vous avez des demandes similaires), merci de laisser un commentaire!

Her's the latest deco that was returned to me! It was made on the " Happy Birthday " theme, and it's quite special because it was made in January 2009. It was the first year I started in my appartement, and I had just decided to go back to swapping and penpalling regularly. So the girl that started it had definitely a good feeling! Receiving it home after 3 years made me realize how my life had changed since then: it's like a parallel between my own life and the travel this booklet has done. Indeed...It was started by a girl in China, and then went on to Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and then to France (where the nice returner is). And last but not least, I would like to give a big thum up to the  Old Decos and Homers (ODAH) group  as most of the signers are from it, and they definitely helped getting it finished faster:-))

I recently had to work on an entry for a "favourite actress" deco. If I have several fave actors, I must admit I don't really have ONE fave actress, so I picked just one of the many I like (and of whom I had a nice photo): Kate Winslet Though there is some extra light on the photo (that's the problem when I take shots with my mobile phone), I guess you can see the layout. It was directly inspired by some scrapbooking models:-))

Hi all I know I haven't been very active lately but it's been some crazy weeks, between lots of work, exhaustion, sickness, getting used to Facebook Timeline (LOL), etc... That being said I still have some ideas for this blog and ideas for content are piling! Among others, you will see: more scans of my decos and booklets hopefully my first cards and scrapbook pages of 2012! Reviews of material (I just bought a great scrapbooking software) general articles on letter-writing still more articles for our French speaking buddies Etc, etc... As you can see, loads of ideas. That's why, if there's something you want to see in pirority, I would really appreciate if you leave a comment. That whay, if I run out of time, I will know what to publish first!

No I didn't disappear, nor did I let this blog aside on purpose...it's just that, like many people, I'm so busy at the end of the year that crafts and letter writing can't always find a room in my schedule! Anyway, now the party's over, I'm back to filling booklets, writing letters, etc... Proof is this pile of mail that will be sent tomorrow !
